Adobe Creative Suite

Adobe has a number of programs that help individuals and businesses work with digital files. In addition to Photoshop, these programs include Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver. They help streamline the process of creating and manipulating digital media. (See Chapter 2 for more on choosing and using Creative Suite.)

You can access the programs in one or all of the programs by going to and selecting Creative Suite on the left side of the page. Adobe Creative Suite is a compilation of individual programs. The four core products in the suite are Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver.

Adobe Dreamweaver

Adobe Dreamweaver is a program that helps web designers create and maintain web pages. Dreamweaver doesn’t include all the capabilities of Photoshop. You can use Photoshop for some of the tasks Dreamweaver handles, but not all.

When you import a design from Photoshop into Dreamweaver, you cannot go back and make changes to the design without retransforming the template or CSS to work with the Photoshop file. This can be frustrating when designing larger projects.

While Dreamweaver is a very powerful tool for creating websites, it may be easier to start with Photoshop or Illustrator first, and then import the design to Dreamweaver for final tweaking and editing. When you import a Photoshop design into Dreamweaver, you need to leave the Photoshop file open or open a different Adobe application before you close the original Photoshop file. This can prove to be a tedious process when you’re working on a design that needs to be changed later, as you have to open and re-open Photoshop for every change you make. Also, Dreamweaver can import only one version of a graphic at a time. If you have to continually change a graphic, you have to delete the original and start over.

Adobe Photoshop

Photoshop is the industry standard image-editing program. It’s been around since 1987. Photoshop has a reputation for being difficult to learn. However, it is not as difficult as some image-editing programs that have cropped up over the last few years.

JS – change text font size

I’m using the.js library Qooxdoo on a mobile web app.

The text is supposed to be bold and on a larger size. However, the text is the default size of the website, and I don’t know how to change it.
I have the Qooxdoo code below
var text = new BoxModel(
new Field({
fieldName : “Text”,
controlType : Text,
layout : new RowLayout({
rows : 2,
gap : 2

And the CSS
font-family: ‘Pantera’, arial, sans-serif;
font-size: 30;

How can I change the text size from the.css file?

You don’t have to use JavaScript for this; you can use CSS instead. For example, you can set the font-size property for a div element like this:

You can also use an HTML structure like this

and then just add a css style to #text
#text div {
font-size: 50px;

Note: The div element is optional and you could directly add styling to #text

Ruurks language

The Ruurks language (also known as Mundenx, Rustoms, Rustomix, Rustomits, and Murumux) is an extinct language, possibly Austronesian, which was once spoken in the Netherlands in the 18th century. It is spoken only among the Rourkes.

Routen is thought to be a language isolate.

Back in 2002, Alaska started its protest in the form of a “Dear Colleague” letter sent to members of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the House Small Business Committee. In the letter, Alaska stated that:

“In the past, certain Members of Congress have suggested that we should be required to reimburse airports for their labor costs. In addition, some Members have suggested that we should be required to reimburse airports for their per diem costs.”

The airline further said that, “In addition to the reimbursement of labor and per diem costs, the airline industry, as a whole, has borne losses of billions of dollars because of the overall weakness of the airline industry. Alaska Airlines and other airlines have faced a decline in productivity and traffic. In addition, the airline industry has been plagued by lawsuits, mergers, and, most recently, bankruptcy, resulting in the loss of thousands of jobs.”

Alaska Airlines was advocating in the “Dear Colleague” letter that, rather than requiring airlines to reimburse airports for their per diem costs, that the US DOT should instead require “just compensation” for the airline industry’s losses. The airline further warned that, in the aftermath of the airline industry’s loss of billions of dollars, Congress might have to raise
