One of the most appealing things about the development and use of the Internet is the increased access to hardware and software. At the time of this writing, most software is freely available from the various software vendors. Additionally, it is becoming increasingly easy to find hardware that can be used to implement your ideas for DIY projects, especially for things like Arduino or Raspberry Pi. Some of the projects that can be built using those components are games, computer aided design (CAD) apps, voice-controlled devices, radio-controlled (RC) cars and robots, among others. With the wide range of projects that can be built with those systems, there is no limit to what is possible. For those of you looking for projects that do not require either a ton of funds or an engineering degree, here are seven of my favorite projects to build with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or just your imagination. 1. Simple Touchscreen Controlled Audio Player A basic, yet cool, device to use for your kitchen (or any other room) is a simple touchscreen controlled audio player. It can be used as a gift for friends and family or as a means of bringing entertainment into your home. There are many ways to implement this, but I’ve put together a basic system using Arduino, an iPod touch, and some servo motors. Two servo motors are used to manipulate the volume control and skip/pause controls on the touch screen. A microcontroller is used to monitor the output of the iPod touch and the motors. When the servo is rotated, the output on the microcontroller is adjusted accordingly. The software used to execute the system is pretty simple and can be found on GitHub. Servos (photo credit: Domingo C.) This system was created by Sian Liddiard for the Great British Baking Show. Her project was simple enough to do in the amount of time allotted, but it offers a great concept. For those of you that haven’t seen the show, the contestants have a week to build something that is based on their favorite comfort food. For this challenge, contestants must create a comfort food that uses some other food as the main ingredient. The contestants were only given the choice of desserts, which are always delicious and satisfying. 2. The Middle Finger Wine Spritzer While this project does not require any building, it does require a lot of time. For the first three months, I spent most of my days tinkering with a simple

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory disease of the central nervous system. It is a major cause of disability in young adults and people with long-term disease experience substantial disease-related and psychosocial challenges. To perform a systematic review to ascertain the relationship between psychological factors and MS. Systematic review. Recent literature (included from Jan 2007 to Mar 2009). We searched the Cochrane library, Medline, EMBASE, CINAHL, Web of Science, PsycINFO, and Dissertation Abstracts International. We included cross-sectional, longitudinal and case-control studies in English. We identified 461 articles, of which 13 met our selection criteria. Among these studies, two studies reported negative associations between depression and physical disability, four studies reported a positive association between depression and physical disability, four studies reported a positive association between depression and cognitive functioning, one study reported a positive association between depression and self-reported fatigue, two studies reported no association between depression and fatigue, one study reported a positive association between anxiety and fatigue, and one study reported a negative association between anxiety and cognitive functioning. Little empirical work has been conducted on the relationship between depression, anxiety and fatigue in MS. Further research is needed to fully understand the impact of these psychological factors on patients with MS.Saturday, June 21, 2014 Okay, so it’s been a while since I posted, and even longer since I actually intended to post. So I have a million things to blog about, but the most important thing is that I have a new little cat! My friend Bailey got this beautiful 1-week old kitten from one of the neighbors who found her on the side of the road. We decided to adopt her, and I eacb057170

Now open the extension of Autodesk Autocad Q: Regex filter duplicate lines in C# Is it possible to make a Regex which will return only one match in the following cases: 2.1. 2.1.1 2.1.2 12.1. 12.1.1 12.1.2 12.1.3 In the first and the second case the line should not be displayed because it contains only one match. In the third case it is expected that the whole line should be displayed because it contains three matches. A: One approach: Regex.Matches(input, pattern) allows you to match multiple times, and avoid duplicates. Regex rx = new Regex(@”\d{1,2}.\d{1,2}\.\d{1,2}”); while (rx.Matches(input)) { Console.WriteLine(rx.Match(input).Value); } Johann Georg Stein Johann Georg Stein (1796–1862) was a German painter and illustrator.
