Step 1
Get a copy of Photoshop, and a mouse. You’ll be using the mouse to create, edit, and arrange elements on your layer. So, make sure you have a mouse with at least a two-button scroll wheel. Step 3
Pick out the image you want to use and create a duplicate layer. You can do this by selecting the layer, then pressing the Command + J keyboard shortcut to duplicate the layer.
Make sure to pick an image that is the right file size for the type of photograph you’ll be working with. If you plan to work with a larger photo, you can crop it down now, but make sure you can still see the entire photo when it’s larger.

To access the detail layer in Photoshop, you have to click on a layer and then right click on it. You will see a menu appear. Select the Advanced layer options from the menu. In the resulting dialog box, there is a new “Detail Layer” which will allow you to add different effects to the selected layer.

3. Adjustment layers

To use an adjustment layer, click on the adjustment layer icon in the layers palette, and a dialog box will appear asking you to which layers do you want to add the layer?
To have different adjustments applied to different layers, click on the adjustment layer icon in the layers palette, and you can drag and drop any adjustment from the menu to any number of layers.
4. Filter palette
The filter palette in Photoshop is an advanced tool which allows you to change the look of your image by applying a number of different effects to it. They are applied sequentially without any other editing on the image.
When you drag your mouse over the filter palette, you will see a palette which shows all the filters that are available to you.

How to make one form or widget stay on top when overlapping another in PyQt
I am trying to draw a graph which displays some data. I would like to use a widget that shows a graph over the main widget containing other controls. I want the graph widget (actually an Image) to be on top. I have tried adding it to the window, but it only shows up when the window is not maximized. I have also tried to add it to an existing widget and setting the ZValue, but it doesn’t seem to take.
The only idea I have is to set the top most widget as the parent of my drawing widget and try to override the event handlers. I would be willing to try a mess of if/elif/elif statements, but I would be interested to know if there is a better way. I have tried pyuic4 and pyuic5 but I just didn’t know how to write the code to make the widgets take over a particular area.
