How To Download Photoshop Software [Updated]
The term _Photoshop_ does not refer to the company that manufactured the original software. It is short for _photographic_ _s_ _hop_ and simply refers to a software product written by Adobe that is dedicated to image editing.
When you learn Photoshop, you learn how to apply filters, create textures, and apply special effects, as well as how to work with the various layer panels, transform tools, and tool palettes.
The following sections explain the major Photoshop features, which are the foundation for any class in Photoshop.
## Scanning and converting film
One of the first things you need to do with Photoshop is to scan a film. Scanning film opens up a whole world of possibilities in your art — nothing’s more exciting than the new challenges that a scanner presents. Scanners are similar to a digital camera, except they create a digital image instead of a print. Figure 5-1 shows a film scanner used to create a digital image.

One of the things to remember about scanners is that they may not have the same resolution as your digital camera. A digital camera has a resolution of 3,840 × 2,160 pixels. Your scanner may only be able to recognize approximately 3,840 × 1,152 pixels as a single image. If your scanner has more pixels than the maximum, the software you use to create your digital file may crop the file to the maximum number of pixels. If you scan a movie, you may even have to run it through a miniaturizer before creating a digital copy of the image.
The other thing to remember about a scanner is that it may not be able to recognize some types of film. For example, Fuji Velvia (and other film types that are not transparent) may give you a negative film image. The scanner may _crop_ the image — which means that the scanner recognizes the image as a negative, but then outputs a cropped image. While cropping your digital film allows you to save a lot of time with the editing process, you have to remember that every time you change your settings, your image will be cropped and the resulting image won’t be exactly the same size as the original. You also have to use the cropping tool, which is available from the Edit menu, not the Image menu, and which was designed for cropping video

Open your image in Photoshop and use the following methods to turn it into an image as in the first picture:
Import the image and apply the Liquify tools.
Add a new layer and fill it with a color.
Change the blending mode of the layer to a darker color.
Apply a filter to make the colors more vibrant.
Create a new layer and paste a copy of the original layer.
Add a new layer and blend it with the layer above.
An alternative to using all of the above methods to create an image in Photoshop is to do them all simultaneously:
Import the image and apply the Liquify tools.

The tools
There are several useful tools in Photoshop that will help you create the image as shown in the previous step.

The Smudge tool. This tool will allow you to darken or lighten parts of a layer.
The Rotate tool. This tool will allow you to rotate layers around a center point.
The Displace tool. This tool will allow you to move a layer relative to another layer.
The Move tool. This tool will allow you to move a layer relative to another layer.
The Blend tool. This tool will allow you to combine two layers and make them look like a single layer with the right color.

Nineteen-year-old Thang Jollie and 14-year-old Im Kerya come from remote villages in Myanmar’s remote, north-western Chin state, where the people are primarily fishermen and rice farmers.
They say they used to live a peaceful life before they became targets of a violent ethnic conflict.
Both were taken to Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh by traffickers, who then divided them into two groups.

Thang Jollie and Im Kerya were bought for $60 each.
Later, the Chinese businessman sold them to a timber trader for $400 and they were both sold on to the Rohingya camps.
The two girls are alive, but their families have been left with questions. They and their families are in camps in Bangladesh following this summer’s Rohingya refugee influx into the country from Myanmar.
The person who bought Thang Jollie is not Thang’s father but a “middle man” who sold her to the timber trader.
Thang Jollie and Im Kerya’s families are still trying to find out where they have been sold.
A spokesman for Myanmar’s immigration ministry told the BBC the names of those trafficked to Bangladesh were not recorded in national registers of missing people.
The plight of the Rohingya is one of the most controversial issues in Myanmar, and most of the country’s more than seven million Rohingya have been stripped of their citizenship by the government.
They are denied freedom of movement, education, public services and other rights, but the government denies them citizenship.

Aung San Suu Kyi, Myanmar’s de facto leader, said at the UN in September that Myanmar was investigating the issue.
But human rights groups say the government is doing nothing about it.
Thang Jollie and Im Kerya are not the only children in similar circumstances in recent years.
Until recently, BBC Myanmar could find at least 75 more children who had similarly ended up in Myanmar.
A teenager from Ayeyarwady (in the south of the country) was also sold to a timber trader.
Others were trafficked to China
