Why submit a new version? Ridom StaphType seems to have a nice clean and intuitive interface. I am unsure of how much feedback you could get on this site.
A lot of work has gone into the Ridom StaphType algorithm. If you wish to improve upon it, provide more up-to-date sequence data. Provide the spa-types from Ridom type collection for comparison.

This Ridom StaphType application is designed to determine the genotype of Staphylococcus aureus. It includes the sequences of the most common spa-types of S. aureus.
The user starts with the creation of a new spa-type or input of a file with spa-types. The spa-types are assigned a type-strain ID. When you have finished your input, you can then start with the determination of the Staphylococcus aureus strain.
This is the best solution when you need to identify known pathogens and you do not have the possibility to grow them in a lab.
It is also a good solution when you need to perform epidemiological studies.
You can also perform a simple comparison of two spa-types to see if they belong to the same genotype.
If you want to check whether a spa-type belongs to an already determined genotype, Ridom StaphType performs a consensus sequence, reports the strain and spa-type.
If you want to check for the presence of a spa-type, Ridom StaphType also reports the spa-types, as well as the genotype and spa-types.
