You have the main application window always open, with a ‘Capture’ button at its bottom-right corner.

Snapshots can be taken in full screen mode or using one of the following capturing methods:
– selected area: a rectangular area of the entire screen is selected (you can directly drag the mouse to define the rectangle boundaries, or use the hot key, “-” in any application);
– window of the active program: the window of the active program is selected and snapshotted (in case of capturing in a window that is bigger than the screen, only the portion of the window that is fully displayed on the screen is captured; in case of capturing in a window that is smaller than the screen, the entire window is included in the shot);
– full screen: the entire screen is captured.
After you have chosen which way to capture, the respective screen shot is saved in a specific directory. The location depends on the default set of parameters which are automatically saved when you set up the widget (the default settings are : set to save to the desktop, also known as “default_save_location” = “~/Desktop”; and the default image format = “JPG”; and the default JPEG quality = 60).
